Andrey is involved in every aspect of this site and will be contributing regularly, so you can be sure that all news will be announced here first.

For those of you who are new to Andrey Iskanov’s world, here’s a brief introduction. Andrey is a film maker, author and actor from the city of Khabarovsk, in the far East of Russia.

A former professional photographer, he’s been making films for 15 years but his work has only recently been accessible to Western audiences. His unique style and vision is finally being recognised with the release of Nails and Visions of Suffering on DVD by Unearthed Films.

Set for release in July 2008, Andrey’s epic, Philosophy of a Knife, a groundbreaking mix of drama and historical documentary which deals with the atrocities of the notorious Japanese experimentation camp; Unit 731, will show the world what Andrey is capable of.
